What an amazing effort by all our Kairos Caloundra Kokoda Challengers, we are so very proud! Here’s hoping that they’ve all had a hot shower to wash away the rain, mud, aches and pains, and are enjoying a very good sleep tonight!
Just like in previous years, Kairos teams have showed how well we are in sync with each other, with all participants from our 18km AND 48km teams crossing the line within 45 minutes of each other! We’ll post more photos over the next few days, and will be sure to share the team photos from the official event photographer too.
Thank you to our dedicated educators who committed to this epic event – Luke, Josh, Owen, Jake and David, to Matt and Tessa for their efforts as 48km Support Crew (in pouring rain), and to the parents, grandparents and carers who made the trip out to Kenilworth to see us off, and cheer us home.
Thank you also to everyone who has contributed to our fundraising, from buying a snag at our Bunnings sausage sizzle, purchasing raffle tickets, assisting with gear, our major sponsor Kings Beach Surf Club, and so many more.
You all truly put the ‘community’ into Kairos Community College!
Now… we rest!
